Social entrepreneurship is the work of a social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture to make social change. Whereas a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur assesses success in terms of the impact s/he has on society.

In addition to gaining service credit and providing value to your community, our programs enable you to showcase your talents and develop life skills in the follow areas:

•  Technology
•  Film & Broadcast
•  Public Speaking
•  Event Planning
•  Sales & Marketing
•  Social Media

Our programs are also structured around fun competition and enable you to reach different levels of achievement through your efforts.  Accomplishing each level provides you with more benefits and recognition.

The two primary volunteer categories are Social Broadcast and Social Entrepreneur

Social Broadcast Program

 The SageSource Social Broadcast program encourages new media directors, producers, editors for social impact to develop their skills by:

•  Filming program activities, interactions and experiences
•  Creating digital “how to’s based on older adult challenges with our digital world
•  Building video archives
•  Developing new initiatives and projects
And much more…..

Social Entrepreneur Program

The SageSource Social Entrepreneur program encourages emerging community and business leaders to learn valuable skills to prepare them for the business world.  This includes: 

•  Community and program development
•  Public Speaking
•  Event planning and execution
•  Project and financial management
•  And much more
